Over the years, I have built a multifaceted career as a Musicologist, Choir trainer, Piano tutor, Voice Coach, Instrumentalist, song writer, and Founder of two landmark initiatives: FAMES Choral Nigeria, a renowned chorale group with branches in Benue and Ekiti States of Nigeria, and Solomon Ofem Music Academy (SOMA), a music academy that grooms instrumentalists, teaches sight-singing using Solfa notations and Staff notation, coaches and trains voices, and produces well-rounded musicians.
As a composer, I have written for The Forum for Inculturation of Liturgical Music (FILM Nigeria), composed for numerous Catholic Dioceses across Nigeria, and created Psalms for Liturgical worship across the world. I have had the privilege of collaborating with respected names in the industry such as Oblibo Music, Sonax productions, Uyo Catholic Media and others in music and Psalm production.
As a choir trainer, I have been privileged to train over 75 choirs in and outside Nigeria, providing both physical and virtual sessions. This has made me cover at least 30 of the 36 states in Nigeria.
As a Music Director, I have had the opportunity of leading in several groups, Churches and ensembles, with the most notable being the Choir at the Ekiti State Government House chapel.
As a music teacher, I taught in two secondary schools, building the students in the aspects of music theory, voice and instrumentation.
My work has earned me numerous awards and recognition, affirming the value of excellence, innovation, and service in sacred and contemporary music.
Today, through FAMES Choral Nigeria and SOMA, I continue to create platforms where aspiring musicians young and old can find clarity in their craft, confidence in their voices and instruments, and a true sense of belonging within a supportive musical community.
